Sunstar Americas Expands Recall

The FDA has announced that Sunstar Americas has expanded their voluntary recall of Paroex Chlorhexidine Gluconate due to microbial contamination.


Product with an expiration date of 12/31/2020 through 9/20/2022 may be contaminated with the bacteria Burkholderia lata. Use of the product may result in oral and potentially systemic infections requiring antibiotic therapy.


Sunstar Americas has received reports of adverse events related to this recall. If you have or use this product, please check the expiration date and contact Sunstar Americas for further information if you have not already been contacted in relation to this recall.
