Updated: Jun 22, 2021

A good thing to know when diagnosing sterilizer problems is that there is a direct correlation between pressure and temperature within an autoclave. If your pressure doesn't match these numbers, you've most likely got either a leak (low pressure) or a failure of your bellows or vent valve (high pressure). The chart indicates expected pressure at typical sterilization temperatures, if your values are off, there may be a problem.
